Farberware FW12-100024316 Oven Details

The Farberware FW12-100024316 combines a toaster oven and an air fryer in one countertop unit with French-style glass doors. The display shows the cooking status (PREHEAT, COOKING and operation complete), the temperature, the time in hr:min, the number of toast slices or the pizza size, the browning level and a convection fan indicator. When you plug it in, the oven rings once, lights every indicator for a second, and then shows the default parameters.

Programming follows the same sequence for every function. Choose a program with the FUNC. button or the SELECT knob, press CONFIRM, turn the knob to set the temperature, then press TEMP/TIME to set the time. Turning the knob clockwise raises a value and turning it counter-clockwise lowers it. START/STOP starts or cancels a cycle. The LIGHT button turns on the interior lamp so you can check the food without opening the doors.

On Bake, Broil, Roast, Pizza and Reheat, you can turn on the convection fan during cooking with the CONV. button, and an indicator confirms it is running. The Pizza function preheats first. When preheating ends, the oven rings five times, and you then place the Grill Rack with the food inside. When any cycle finishes, the oven rings three times. The fan keeps running for about a minute afterward, so do not unplug the oven right away.

Each accessory has a specific job. The Oven Rack is for toasting, baking and cooking in metal or ovenproof glass containers, and it goes in with the convex side facing up. The Grill Rack is used with the Drip Tray, which collects food residues. The Cooking Basket sits on the Grill Rack for air frying. The Crumb Tray must stay installed whenever the oven is in use. Spread fries evenly in the basket so they cook evenly.

Before first use, remove all packaging and run the oven empty for at least 20 minutes at its highest temperature with the doors open, keeping the room well ventilated. Some odor and smoke are normal while production residues burn off. For best results, preheat the oven, cook defrosted food, and put the accessories at a height that suits the food. If food flares up, keep the doors closed, press START/STOP and unplug the unit.

The oven draws 1750W, so it should have its own wall outlet that is not shared with other appliances. Place it on a flat, heat-resistant surface away from curtains or walls, and never cover the Air Vents or the Crumb Tray with foil. Never put paper, cardboard, plastic, wood, rubber, foam or cloth inside. If you need an extension cord, use a grounded 3-wire cord with an electrical rating at least equal to the oven's.

Clean the oven after every use, once it has cooled for about 30 minutes. Slide out the Crumb Tray and empty it. Wipe the housing with a damp cloth, and clean the interior with mild detergent, taking care around the heating elements. All accessories can be washed in hot soapy water. Avoid abrasive cleaners and steel wool. The power cord wraps into the Cord Storage area at the back of the unit.

The troubleshooting guide covers common problems. If the oven does not reach the set temperature, check that the doors are fully closed. Undercooked food needs more time or a higher temperature. If toast burns, lower the browning level. The two-year warranty covers defects in materials or workmanship and provides a replacement unit. It does not cover glass parts and other wear items, commercial use, or damage from misuse. Keep your receipt to make a claim.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

Can't find the answer you need? Here are some frequently asked questions about the Farberware FW12-100024316 Oven, and we answer them below.

Why does the oven smoke and smell the first time I use it?
Residues left from manufacturing burn off the first time the oven heats up. This is normal. Run the empty oven for at least 20 minutes at its highest setting with the doors open until the odor and smoke stop.

Can I change the time and temperature on the Toast function?
No. On Toast, the default time and temperature are fixed. You can only choose the slice quantity (1 - 6) and the browning level (1 - 7), where LIGHT is level 1 and DARK is level 7.

How do I turn on the convection fan?
Press the CONV. button while Bake, Broil, Roast, Pizza or Reheat is running. An indicator on the display shows that the fan is on.

Why did the display turn off?
The display and all indicators turn off after 10 minutes without any input. Press any button to turn the display back on.

Can I unplug the oven right after cooking ends?
No. The fan keeps running for about one minute after the cooking time ends. Wait for it to stop before you unplug the oven.

Which accessory should I use for air frying?
Put the Grill Rack on the rails and place the Cooking Basket with the food on top of it. Use Air Fry between 200°F and 400°F for 1 to 30 minutes.

Does the Pizza function need preheating?
Yes. Press START/STOP to start preheating. When the oven rings five times, put the Grill Rack with the pizza inside, then press START/STOP again to start cooking.

What should I do if the oven does not reach the set temperature?
Check that both glass doors are fully closed. If the oven still does not heat, unplug it and have it checked by qualified personnel.

Can I line the Crumb Tray with aluminum foil?
No. Covering the Crumb Tray or any other part of the oven with metal foil can make the oven overheat.

How do I clean the accessories?
You can wash all accessories in hot soapy water. Do not use steel wool, scouring pads or abrasive cleaners, and dry everything completely before using it again.

What does the warranty cover?
The two-year limited warranty covers defects in materials or workmanship and provides a replacement unit. It does not cover wear items such as glass parts, commercial use, or damage from misuse. Keep your receipt to make a claim.
