Hoover Dynamic Next Tumble Dryer Details

The Hoover Dynamic Next Tumble Dryer is a condenser dryer controlled by a rotary Programme Selector that turns in both directions, plus a digital display. The display shows the remaining drying time, the delay-start countdown and other notifications. The remaining time is checked throughout the cycle, so the estimate may go up or down as the cycle runs. This is normal.

The Drying Selection button sets four dryness levels: Ready to Iron, Dry Hanger, Dry Wardrobe and Extra-dry. You can change the level for up to 5 minutes after the cycle starts. The built-in Drying Manager flashes the LED for each intermediate dryness level as the load reaches it. If you choose an option that the programme doesn't allow, all LEDs flash quickly three times.

The Best Ironing option moves the drum back and forth during and after drying to reduce creases and tangles. It also sets the iron-dry level automatically. It works only on automatic cycles. The Memory button saves your options for a cycle when you hold it for three seconds. You can then recall those options later with a single press.

The Keylock function stops anyone from changing the settings during drying. To turn it on or off, press buttons 4 and 5 together for two seconds. The display shows "LOC" when it is on and "Unl" when it is off. Opening the door stops the cycle but keeps the lock active. The lock switches off automatically when the dryer is turned off.

The programme list includes All In One, which dries mixed fabrics together. It alerts you by flashing "AIO" and sounding a beep when the lightweight items are ready to take out. Specialist cycles include Shirts, Jeans, Waterproof Revitalize, Sports, Bed Quilt, Anti Odours and Antiallergy. The Antiallergy cycle helps reduce dust mites, pet hair, pollen and detergent residue.

One Touch technology connects the dryer to the Hoover Wizard App through NFC. Only Android smartphones with NFC can control the machine. Non-NFC Android devices, tablets, iPhones and iPads can view app content only. The app includes Voice Coach, which suggests a cycle from three voice inputs. It also offers Clever Care diagnostics, drying Reports and downloadable Programmes. The default One Touch cycle is Auto-Hygiene.

The phone only works by proximity, so remote control from another room is not possible. Hold the phone's NFC antenna on the One Touch logo until the transfer is confirmed. Thick cases or metallic stickers can block the signal. If the dryer shows an error, the app's "Read the error" function can identify the fault.

For maintenance, clean the fluff filter before every cycle. Empty the water container after each use. Rinse the condenser regularly under running water. To remove the condenser, take off the kickplate and turn the two locking levers anticlockwise. When you refit it, follow the arrow and lock the levers clockwise. A Filter Care LED reminds you when the filters need cleaning.

The optional drain hose kit sends condensed water straight to a household waste pipe, so you no longer need to empty the container. To fit it, tilt the dryer backwards, remove the grey hose from the bridge connection, attach the black hose and close the remaining outlet with the supplied tap. Do not connect it to a surface water drain.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

Can't find the answer you need? Here are some frequently asked questions about the Hoover Dynamic Next Tumble Dryer, and we answer them below.

What power supply does the Hoover Dynamic Next Tumble Dryer need?
It runs on 220-240 V, 50 Hz single phase, and the supply circuit must be rated at least 13 A. The appliance must be earthed. Do not use adapters or extension leads.

What are the dimensions of the dryer?
The dryer is 85 cm high, 60 cm wide and 60 cm deep.

How much laundry can I dry at once?
Cottons can go up to the maximum capacity on the energy label, from 6 to 10 kg depending on the model. Synthetics and delicates are limited to 4 kg, and the Wool cycle takes up to 1 kg.

How long can I delay the start of a cycle?
The Delay Start button lets you postpone the start by 1 to 24 hours in 1-hour steps. The delay appears on the display.

How often should I empty the water container?
Empty it after every drying cycle. The water tank indicator lights up when it is full. A full door container weighs about 6 kg, and the bottom drawer version weighs about 4 kg.

Why does little water collect during the first cycles?
A new machine first fills an internal reservoir, so only a little water collects in the container during the first few cycles.

Can I control the dryer with an iPhone?
No. Only Android smartphones with NFC can control the machine through the Hoover Wizard App. iPhones, iPads and tablets can view app content only.

Can I stack the dryer on a washing machine?
Yes, with a suitable stacking kit. Use Mod 35100019 for washing machines at least 49 cm deep, or Mod 35900120 for washing machines at least 51 cm deep.

What room temperature is required for operation?
The room should be between 5 and 35 °C. Do not install the dryer where there is a risk of frost. Between +2 and +5 °C, some condensation and water drops on the floor may occur.

What does the Automatic Anti-Crease function do?
It moves the drum every 10 minutes for up to 6 hours after the cycle ends. It also runs before the cycle starts when delay start is active. To stop it, turn the knob to OFF.

Why is the displayed remaining time changing?
The dryer keeps checking the remaining time during the cycle and adjusts it for the best estimate. It may go up or down, and this is normal.

What should I check if clothes are not drying properly?
Check that you chose the right programme and that the clothes were well wrung or spin-dried. Also make sure the filter is clean and the dryer is not overloaded.
