Hoover H-Wash 300 Plus Washer Details

The Hoover H-Wash 300 Plus is a household washing machine built around automatic water level adjustment. It matches water use to the type and amount of laundry, which cuts energy use and shortens wash times. The KG Mode Plus sensor weighs the load during the first minutes of the cycle. It then sets cycle length, water use and drum rotation speed, controls rinsing and adjusts spin speed to prevent imbalance.

When you first switch on the machine, you choose the display language with the Temperature Selection or Spin Speed buttons and confirm with Play/Pause. To change the language later, press Temperature Selection and Delay Start together for about 5 seconds. Don't touch the buttons while plugging the machine in. It calibrates its systems during the first few seconds, and touching a button at that point can stop it from working properly.

The display shows the cycle duration as soon as you select a programme. That estimate assumes a standard load, so the machine updates the remaining time during the wash to suit the actual load size and fabric. If the power cuts out, the machine restarts from the beginning of the phase it was in. The selector must go back to OFF at the end of each cycle before you start the next programme.

The Anti-Crease function skips the intermediate spins or reduces the strength of the final spin. An electronic device stops the spin if the load is unbalanced, which reduces noise and vibration and extends the machine's life. If the machine detects too much foam, it may skip the spin phase or run longer and use more water. You can change the spin speed during a cycle without pausing the machine.

The Hygiene+ option turns on when you set 60°C. It keeps the same temperature for the whole wash for deeper cleaning. The Extra Rinse option adds one rinse at the end of the cycle, which helps people with sensitive skin. The manual also recommends it for children's clothes, heavily soiled items and towels. The 20°C programme uses about 40% of the energy of a conventional 40°C cotton wash.

The detergent drawer doses liquid additives automatically during the last rinse. Some models include a liquid detergent cup that fits in compartment 2. You can also use this cup for bleach with the Rinse programme to pre-treat stains. The manual recommends running Drum Clean every 50 cycles with powder detergent and no laundry. Clean the pump filter 5 or 6 times a year, and leave the door slightly open between washes.

For installation, you remove the transport screws, washers, rubber bungs and spacer tubes, then cover the holes with the plastic caps supplied. Adjustable feet are used to level the machine. If you connect the drain to an under-sink outlet, the drain hose must run above the sink overflow opening to prevent back-siphoning. Don't use adapters, multi-plug sockets or extension cords. The manufacturer's warranty doesn't cover installation faults.

The manual also gives detergent advice. Washing a full load instead of two half loads can save up to 50% of the energy. Skipping Prewash on lightly or normally soiled laundry saves 5 to 15% of the energy. Phosphate-free ecological detergents may leave white zeolite powder on fabrics. This is harmless and can be removed with a rinse programme.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

Can't find the answer you need? Here are some frequently asked questions about the Hoover H-Wash 300 Plus Washing Machine, and we answer them below.

What does error E2 mean on the Hoover H-Wash 300 Plus?
E2 means the machine can't take in water. Check that the tap is open and the supply hose isn't kinked or trapped. Make sure the drain hose is at the correct height. Then close the tap and clean the anti-sand filter on the inlet hose.

What should I do if error E3 appears?
E3 means the machine isn't draining. Clean the pump filter and remove anything stuck in the filter compartment. Check that the drain hose isn't kinked and that your home's drain isn't blocked.

What causes error E4?
E4 means there's too much foam and/or water. Use the correct amount of detergent, and make sure it's made for washing machines.

How do I fix error E7?
E7 is a door problem. Make sure the door is fully closed and no clothes are caught in it. If the door stays locked, turn off and unplug the machine, wait 2 to 3 minutes, then open the door.

How do I activate the child lock?
Press Temperature Selection and Spin Speed together for about 3 seconds. To unlock, press both buttons again or turn the appliance off.

How long can I delay the start of a wash?
Up to 24 hours. Each press of the Delay Start button adds time, and pressing again after 24 hours resets the delay to zero. Confirm with Play/Pause.

How often should I clean the pump filter?
The manual recommends checking and cleaning the filter 5 or 6 times a year.

How often should I run the Drum Clean programme?
Run it every 50 wash cycles with an empty drum and powder detergent only. When it finishes, leave the door open so the drum can dry.

Why won't the door open after a cycle?
For safety, the door only unlocks when the water is below its lower edge and the temperature is below 45°C. Wait until the DOOR LOCKED light goes out before opening it.

What are the Rapid Care durations?
Rapid Care has three durations, selected with the RAPID button: 14 minutes and 30 minutes at 30°C, and 44 minutes at 40°C.

Where can I find the serial number?
The 16-character serial number is on a sticker inside the door opening. You need it to register the warranty or contact customer service.

What water pressure does the machine need?
The water supply pressure must be between 0.1 MPa and 1 MPa.

How long are spare parts available?
Original spare parts are available for at least 10 years after the appliance goes on sale in the European Economic Area.
